I am looking for some info' on the life rafts of the Lusitania. Where were they stored? How were they lowered? Their capacities? How did they fare during the sinking? Did any get away safely?
I am looking for a broad range of information on them, so anything you have will be helpful, thanks!

maybe Caleb is referring to the collapsable boats which were stowed under the conventional boats on wooden skids. A good number floated clear after bing loosened. I think they were the Engelhardt design found on the TITANIC.

Both captain Turner and the ship's carpenter were examined about their function during the inquiry.
