The Norwegian sailor Albert Moss survived the Titanic tragedy as well as WW1 and WW2.

In 1963 he was interviewed by Norwegian state broadcaster NRK. Among other things, he said he made his way through the bridge after all the boats were gone, and while there he saw Captain Edward J. Smith handing a lifebuoy to John Jacob Astor and the two men shaking hands. He was also adamant that there was no band playing on the open decks.
