Preceded by The Houndsditch Murders where a Latvian gang of thieves murdered 3 Policemen in a botched Jewelry robbery.

The 3 robbers escaped and barricaded themselves in a house and, by superior firepower and marksmanship, kept the London Police and a British Army Detachment at bay for almost 6 hours. The surrounded house was consumed by fire, in the ashes two bodies were found, the whereabouts of the 3rd Anarchist remains a mystery to this day.

I have a bit of an interest in this story - have always been curious as to whether Peter the Painter did indeed exist, and if so was he involved and did he survive?
