I can't remember how I booked now - it was quite a while ago! I'm in cabin C-07.
I've not got a lot of time presently. When I get a chance, (if no-one has beaten me to it), I'll have another go at booking, and let you know how I did it. If it's okay with you, I'll email what I find out direct to you, as I know Phil H. isn't keen on having the Board taken over by this topic! Lester, I can do the same for you, (if you wish), when or if I find instructions on booking.
I'm going to brave Phil's wrath as you guys don't know me, and would think it weird if i mailed you personally! (Sorry Phil).
I initially had this problem when trying to access the individual decks, when I did, I e-mailed Kimberley (the organiser), and this problem occurs usually when she is updating the pages (e.g adding passengers)which is usually at the weekend. Give it a few days, she normally sends out e-mails to say when she is too busy to run the the site, but it has been Christmas recently!
When you can access the decks, select a vacant cabin, return to the main page and scroll down to the Reservation form link, and just fill that in. Kimberley will then send you a confirmation e-mail and an authentic ticket (although I'm sure they didn't have e-mail addresses on them in those days!)
If you're patient, it'll be fine!!! I'm in B-47 and my maid is in B-06, so don't forget to say hi!
I have posted this on some other forums as well, just so other people can see this, and reply if they know anything.
As most people know, I am running the Titanic Voyage - 2001 (sorry Phil but I have to say this) and I need to know where the crew slept and ate etc. I have most of the cabins, but there are still some that I am not sure on. OK here is the list:
3 Window Cleaners
Assistant Clothes Presser
Assistant Coffee man
Assistant Glass man
Well, I think that is it, jus one more thing, are 'Deck Crew' classed as 'seamen' or not, because if they are then I have a special room for them.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
P.S For those living in Australia, I love your country LOADS and if you live in Melbourne (or anywhere else for that matter), go to the Titanic Restaurant in Williamstown, if at anything for the Titanic stuff in the shop! And just a random comment here, if you live in Melbourne, you MUST take a visit to a GOLD CLASS cinema (Village Cinemas) at the Crown Casino, because you will see the film in UNPARALLED LUXURY (like never before, ie reclining chairs, waiter service etc.) I went and LOVED it!!
It's no problem - though I got a sore finger deleting all those extra threads.
You are more than welcome to continue discussion here, but preferably keep it to just this topic.
