Third class tales

Good evening everyone. I know that there is precious little available about third class on board the Titanic, however I just wondered if anyone from third class had ever written anything about their time on board. Not so much about their experience after the collision but more about the things that they got up to and what it was like travelling. I'd really appreciate any suggestion whether books or websites. Hi Emma,

there are two books written by third class survivors that pop quickly to mind:

Goldsmith, Frank J.W. ECHOES IN THE NIGHT. MEMORIES OF A TITANIC SURVIVOR.

Nummi, Gerald E & Janet A. White. I’M GOING TO SEE WHAT HAS HAPPENED: THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF THIRD CLASS FINNISH TITANIC SURVIVOR MRS. ELIN HAKKARAINEN.

also, although these books cover all classes, there is quite a bit of third class coverage in the following (and all of them are excellent books, too):

Lynch, Don & Ken Marschall. TITANIC. AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY.

Hustak, Alan. TITANIC, THE CANADIAN STORY.

Molony, Senan. THE IRISH ABOARD TITANIC.

there are probably other titles worth mentioning, but that is a quick list off the top of my head.
