Thomas Myles Mahan, Jr

I am a new participant to this message board. My interest in all things Titanic stems from my Great Grandfather, Mr. Thomas Francis Myles, who was a casualty in the disaster.

I would love to hear from anyone who has any information about Mr. Myles.

Also, there is a passage in Lawrence Beesley's book, "The Loss of the SS Titanic" which, I believe, refers to Myles. In Chapter II, Beesley writes of that Sunday in the Library:

"Engaged in a conversation with them is a gentleman whom I subsequently identified from a photograph as a well known resident of Cambridge, Massachusetts, geniel, polished, and with a courtly air towards the ladies, whom he has known but a few hours..."

Hope this is of some help.

Best regards,
