Titanic Adventure Out of Time problems

Thanks mate, but I have tried that site and it has absolutely no useful information on it!

Can anyone else help me out?

There's no way you can get the game to run at anything higher than its standard resolution of 640x480 (with 256 colours). The game ought to be able to make that adjustment automatically. If it can't do that, then the obvious solution would be to manually adjust your desktop to those figures before running the game. You say you've tried that and it doesn't work? Do you mean you can't adjust your screen resolution, or you can but when the game runs it reverts to 1024x768 or whatever is your standard?
.

TFT monitors and graphics cards may be configured in several ways, probably your system is not configured to scale the image up to use the full area of your monitor.
Try to find a setting in your monitor menu or in your graphics card driver configuration where you control scaling, and enable it.
I do not know whether this is solves your problem, but when scaling is turned off, you must expect that (at smaller resolutions than the maximum of the TFT panel) the image is small and centered.

I had the same problem with my CD-ROM. It was working OK on the old computer which had Windows 98 but same problems as the others on this thread when I tried to run it on the new computer with Windows XP.

I have several other games - including Jeopardy, Monopoly, Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune which run OK on the new computer with no problems.

My problem is that: when I'm stair up the smokestack's tunnel the game stop and appear a box that say:"Fatal Error at line 1566 (code 0)".
What means that? and most important HOW STOP THIS???. PLEASE HELP ME.

Hey guys, I have owned Titanic Adventure Out Of Time for such a long time and I have fond memories playing it as a kid so i searched through my my CDs and found it! So i installed it and started playing it but the graphics are horrible! They look nothing like I remembered and they are much worse than the screenshots online, I'm using a really nice HP computer with a nvidia G-force (I think) graphics card, it makes me use 256 color and it just looks much worse than the screen shots and also when i move around its very choppy and takes a while to render each different area, Please help! Thanks!

Mike Spencer-

Your problem seems to be identical to mine. (New Compaq purchased a few years ago with same nvidia as yours.) I need help, too. LOL. Thanks.

As mentioned previously, other games such as Scrabble, Monopoly and Jeopardy work fine. Problem is only on the Titanic Adventure Out Of Time game.

Hello, Mark Spencer-

It's been some time since our last postings and I haven't seen any further developments. I'm still at the same place (nowhere, that is.) Have you had any luck ?

Hi everyone, I desperately need someone's help w/the game. I hav Windows XP & I have been trying to run this Titanic game & tried like everything everyone's suggesting, but I still can't get it to run or even install it or run the setup. Every time I click the link, it says this error messsage "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer system's information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." I'm just so confused and I really need someone to help me check if it'll work on my laptop please? If someone can guide me step by step I'd be soo grateful, thanks!

Hi Breanna,

Click here for the solution on how to run the game on your computer. The message that you're getting, is exactly the same one that appeared on my screen. I have the patch for the game and in fact, just last evening I was able to get the game running on my laptop, and I have Windows 7.

I hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

Like many others, I have great memories of playing this game. I recently installed it on XP and it installed perfectly! I completed everything on Disc 1. However, as soon as I put in Disc 2 and move around in my cabin, a message pops up saying that Titanc found an error and must shut down. I can't get past it! Any insight?

I have a little bit of an update! With much messing around with uninstalling and reinstalling, somehow I got it to work and move past the little glitch I had. It worked perfectly all the way up to when I was in the boiler room, looking for Chute 4. Then, a message popped up and mentioned a 'fatal error' and that it must shut down. Any thoughts on how to get past this glitch?

Hi Erica,

All I can suggest, is to read the information through the link I provided above. Obtaining the patch for the game would definitely solve your glitch.
