Titanic benches

Would anyone know how many ships were supplied with the same kind of benches titanic had. Were all the White star's liner the same? And would the Cunard ships also be furnished with the same?

I'm not quite sure what you're driving at here. If you mean those folding deck chairs, those things were pretty common on all the liners. There was little you could find on the Titanic that any other White Star ship didn't have as well, be it table service or deck chairs. Titanic and Olympic just had more of them.

I think he means the park bench type seats that were used on the upper decks, especially in third class. I don't know about other ships but these seats were commonplace and were made in great numbers for public parks and the like. They are easily bought today for home gardens.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I was in deed refering to the park bench type fixed on the upper decks. I figure now that they were pretty common. I do have a few old pictures taken on a steamship that could have been a White Star liner according to the clues I have: the officer's uniform and the forged iron of the benches. I am trying to identify the ship and I dont have much clues.

Dominique,

Maybe you could post the picture on this board. Someone might know what ship it is.
