I was looking around on a genealogical website and I came across a Daisy May Barling who was listed as dying in 1914 on the Lusitania. I noticed there was a Daisy May Barling Davison who died with her daughter(?) on the Empress. Was Mrs. Davison previously married to someone named Gammon?
Thank you. I guess it was a mistake, especially being that they said she died on the Lusitania.
Being that you seem to be the expert on the Empress, I recently read Fourteen Minutes. A family from Toronto is referenced. The father was a coachman and his wealthy employer sent him and his family on a trip to England. Was this the Bolton family? They seem to be the only family that fits.
Hello, I am the grand-niece of both Fanny Giles and William Giles. I am interested to know the source of this story, I have also hear this from a relative of Joe Cresswell.
