TITANIC Honour & Glory

Just found this Exhibition at Torquay Museum, Devon, England.Unfortunately it finishes on Aug 27th.Probably not as big as some Exhibitions discribed here but then size isn't everything!
I hope to get to see it over the weekend. Watch this space! Kind Regards Rosemary.

If you take any photographs, please post them.

Well I made it to the Exhibition at Torquay.Small but interesting. Most things on show seemed to be from Titanics sister ship Olympic however I did find one show case with all things Titanic.A coat belonging to Violet Jessop-stewardess.Cadbury's chocolate advertising card with picture of the Titanic.1st class smoking room floor tile that had been fitted & then rejected as not up to standard.A silver ring belonging to Carl Olaf Jansson which he gave to the Saville Family in America who befriended him there on his arrival.
Might not sound like much but to a first time visitor to a Titanic Exhibition it was wonderful.
Unfortunately my camera went on the fritz(water logged no doubt!)so sorry but no photos.Kind Regards Rosemary.

Hi everyone.

I don't know if someone else got here before me, but on Saturday we went to see the Titanic exhibition at the Tewkesbury museum. It wasn't bad for the £2 entry fee, two plates removed from the ship before she left Southampton, a few bits of wood from Olympic and Britannic and a few bits and pieces from James Cameron's film.

Plus you get to see a dead Roman with severe arthritis!

Here’s the link.
