This replaces a rather terse message I posted earlier today.

Mother Goose and Grimm, for those of you who don't know, is a daily comic strip. Today's strip deals with a subject near to all our hearts

From the "Express and Star" dated Monday, 17th June 2002:

QE2 MESSAGE IN BOTTLE HAS A TITANIC TRIP

'Melissa Galloway was walking in Gilchrist fishing village, Texas, when she spottedthe words "To Whom It May Concern" showing through a green wine bottle on the beach.
Three years earlier, John Cotter had flung the bottle into the sea from the deck of the QE2. It had gone into the water on May 30, 1999, 160 miles south of Cape Race, Newfoundland - the spot where the Titanic sunk on April 15, 1912.
Miss Galloway contacted Mr Cotter and his wife Valerie, who live near Dublin.
Mr Cotter, aged 58, was amazed that the bottle had travelled hundreds of miles to the Texas Gulf coast.'
