Titanic Musical comes to Sydney

Attended the launch - a lot of fun! Wonderful to see the cast dancing along a catwalk to 'The Latest Rag', and the beautiful expanses of the Museum leant themselves well to the projection of images on a huge screen.

The biggest round of applause came for the actor and actress playing the Strauses - no surprise, after they were introduced with a brief recounting of the fates of their historic counterparts.

We've been looking at organising a group, Steve...I'll post something in 'Let's Meet'.

There's a concession available to groups of 12 or more.

Dan Klistorner is keen to see it also. He is in Japan at the present and back first week in August.
I don't get to Sydney much these days, but I will also have to visit your Sydney Maritime Museum again.

Steve

Have a look in the Let's Meet folders, Steve - the discussion about the gathering has started there:

Good to hear Dan is interested in attending as well - I was going to send a circular email around to him and to some of our other Oz researchers.

Always good to see you here at the Museum - drop me a line beforehand and I'll come and say g'day. Just as an aside, it's the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM)...the Sydney Maritime Museum was the former name of the Sydney Heritage Fleet, which occupies premises owned by the ANMM at Darling Harbour. While they are different organisations, they work together to preserve our maritime heritage. The ANMM is a Commonwealth Statutory Authority, and a National Collecting Institution.

Dave,
I attended the evening performance on the Sat. 4th Nov. & had the best seats in the house (row 8, centre). Always good when you have a few connections in the business........, wink wink.
I thought it was awesomely brilliant.
I would’ve gone again, but unfortunately I live to far from Sydney (Byron Bay) to go that far without other business to attend to.
It’s a shame it’s finished-up so soon.

Steve
