Hello... I'm new to the forum here, and I was wondering if you can help me place/find a picture that my Aunt had of the Titanic. It was fairly similar to the painting "The Titanic" by Gordon Johnson, but it was of the starboard side not port... Perhaps a bit darker in coloring then that painting, and I also believe it was on glass not on paper or canvas, because it "shimmered" unlike an oil painting would...I believe. This particular painting was of oval shape, in an oval frame of about 22 inches long by 18 inches wide!? Do any of you good folks know of this painting? Or could you post a good picture of it perhaps if you can find one?
I haven't seen the painting in...oh, 20 years or so, and didn't realize how beautiful it was until recently.
Here is the Gordon Johnson painting ...in the case I wasn't specific about which painting...I don't know the year of this painting however... or the book it came from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
