TITANIC PRICE OF FRAGMENT
A TINY fragment of rusty metal from the Titanic has sold for a staggering £112.
The piece, which measures less than one inch square, was described as a '100 per cent authentic, haunting yet moving piece of steel recovered from the bow section'.
The seller on internet auction site eBay added: 'This is indeed a very rare chance to own a piece of one of the world's greatest ships.'
The fragment, which came from a historian's private collection, was recovered from the wreck of the liner by a team of French divers in 1987. Nine collectors bid for it.
