Hey all.
I was just going through some stuff online and ran across this Titanic: Quake 2 game. I don't have the address on hand, but just do a google search for the above.
I happen to still have Quake 2 on my system and tried this out last night. After a tricky download and a couple of updates, I was ready to go. I have to say it was...interesting. The graphics pretty much are comparable to the wreck graphics in Ballard's game. Not a lot of detail at all. But a lot of stuff is in the right place at least! Some stuff isn't. But pretty close.
This walkthrough gives you a little more freedom than Adventure Out Of Time, but lacks the detail and several public areas. It does feature the Grand Staircase, A-E deck foward, and A-C deck Aft, Both 2nd Class Stairwells, the Third Class stairwell,(although with no railings), and some third class cabins. The detail is not great at all, but it is a pretty neat walkthrough and flows much more smoothly than AOOT. It lets you climb the mast to the crow's nest too! That's kind of a neat perspective. The ship doesn't sink or anything, just sits there. I'll probably go through it again when I'm bored sometime. It's a typical Quake stage, nothing really glamorous to it, but I thought it was kind of neat.
