I certainly have no clue what's going on, but I do know I'm hoping (and begging my husband), to be in Belfast for the centenary.

I'd love to see this project in its completed form, at that time.

Unfortunately, there are some very real questions as to whether or not there will even be a completed project. That's what the substance of the Irish Times article is all about.

Yeah, I got that. I guess I'm just taking it personally - I want to see it, so I want them to solve their problems and get on with it. There are probably a few thousand other people hoping the same thing.

I expect there will be plenty to see and do even if this project doesn't go forward. I've noticed the Titanic Belfast Society has quite a program listed on their website. I wonder if this project (or failure of the project) will hinder any of those activities.

Barge to house maritime museum

Plans to showcase Belfast's maritime heritage on a barge in the River Lagan have been given a major boost.

Lagan Legacy, the company behind the floating museum, has received £624,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Dutch barge, MV Confiance, will also house a theatre and exhibit letters, photographs and film as well as drawings from Harland and Wolff.
