Hi, can anyone here tell me the cost of the Tickets for the Titanic sailing back in 1912... I've been googling but can't find anything that lists the individual classes prices.. e.g. 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

The ticket prices were all over the map and depended a lot on what accomadation you were booking and in what class. If you take a look at the passenger lists on ET's information side, you'll see what was paid by each person in each class.

Hi Jon-Paul,

While in the Message Board, under "Searching" use the key word "Fares". Here are some links to earlier posts on the subject of Fares:

[Moderator's Note: This thread and two of the three that Lester linked to were originally in topics other than this one. All three of those threads have been moved to this pre-existing subtopic addressing accommodations costs and the links in Lester's message have been edited to reflect those moves. MAB]

Did the actual cost depend on where a passenger bought their ticket? For example, I noted today that the Croatian Titanic victim, 17 year-old Jeso Culumovic (Esimovic) bought his third class ticket for 170 Swiss francs (£8 13s 3d) in Buchs, Switzerland and boarded the Titanic in Southampton (which I found surprising as Cherbourg would have been more convenient). Would the cost have covered his passage from Buchs to Southampton?

Also, in general, did Eastern European and Asian passengers have to pay some sort of surcharge and did that cover their passage to the port of embarkation?
