According to Wikipedia's article "Titanic in Popular Culture", I picked out 10 Titanic Movies that I consider a part of history. Next to each movie is a description which says if the ship sank intact or broke in two in the film.

9. Titanic (1997)-Broke in Two
10. Titanic: The Animated Movie (2001)-Broke in Two

Keep in mind that when the first seven were made, the wreck had not been located and it was still commonly believed that the ship had gone down in one piece.

Mike, what's your favorite Titanic movie version out of the ones shown above?

Can't say as I have a favourite. ANTR gets the best marks for historical accuracy, the 1997 version gets top marks for the close authenticity of the sets to the real thing.

One still has to be careful as in the end, these are movies and not history. The first merely requires that you suspend disbelief and be entertained. The second requires research into the actual source material.

I like the 1953 version for human emotion, ANTR for historical facts, and 1997 for the breaking in two scene.
