All, I am a new subscriber, so I thought I would offer a small "gift" upon my acceptance in this sterling company.

At my site, I have transcribed the Court of Inquiry into the shipwreck of the U.S.S. Huron on November 24, 1877. The transcript is located at this URL:

For the technical minded, I have the engineering testimony but have not scanned & OCR'd that due to the belief, at the time, no one would be interested. Since I am presenting this to a different audience, let me know and I will begin getting that portion on-line.

Best of wishes,

Billy Markland

P.S. No, no known relationship to H. MARKLAND Molson / Molsom who died on the Titantic. Perhaps pre-1730-1735 in Lancashire co., England there is a relationship but as I have not been able to get my family from Maryland to Lancashire, that is only speculation. Ironically, there is a Henry MORLEY who died also. That happens to be the surname of the lady who married my first ancestor in what is now America. Small world isn't it?
