USUK shoe sizes

Now, I understand this is off topic but I can't post it in the off topic thread, as it is not excepting new ones.

My question is, I found these shoes that I adore, problem is it's a British website, they will convert from pounds to dollars, but not shoe size..I wear a 7 1/2 but what's the equivalent to that in British sizes?

I've had a look at a few online sites, Dana - if you enter "shoe conversion" you'll get plenty of hits. Here's one, for example:

I notice, however, that a lot seem to give a size 8 UK (my size) as a 43 European, whereas I usually wear a size 42 or 42.5 if I can find it. US size around 10.5, give or take.

A US 7.5 usually gives around a 5 UK on the conversion charts, but perhaps someone with smaller feet might have practical experience in this area!

But not surprisingly they didn't have my size...In the UK I'm a 5...which are the ones not available.
