Hi all,
Just thought I would gauge people's reactions. I'm writing a Java applet for my web page which will demonstrate the sinking of the Titanic via the filling up of the watertight compartments.
I'm included to stop the animation when the angle of the sinking gets to the point at which Wilding said in the British Inquiry that the boilers would cascade out of the bows, which didn't happen.

If I do this though, some smart alec will no doubt email and say "oh, the ship doesn't go to 90 degrees!"

So, what should I go for: visual accuracy of historical accuracy?

Best wishes

Paul

PS Yes, I do have a copy of Bedford and Hackett's paper!

yes. if your going to make a model of the sinking, you should make it accurate. it would be a waste of time if you keep getting complaints about it. by the way, you should post your website, i would like to see it.

The guy wants your website.

You put the link to your website in your profile.

All he needs to do is look and he'll find it. Seek and ye shall find and all that.
