Hey All,
Was it really raining as depicted by James Cameron in the movie Titanic when the survivors arrive at New York? Thanks!

Yes, it was quite a nasty night, with thunder, lightning and a fair bit of wind. Captain Rostron summed it up as 'a dirty night'. Nothing special to an old Cape Horner.

Carpathia arrives in storms

Rain is falling and there is lightning at intervals.
Despite bad weather, the Carpathia maintained a speed limit of 13 nodes per hour.
As she passed the medical quarantine station was aboard.
Later -. Darkness and heavy rain delayed the deformation in the dock of the Carpathia, which was carried out very slowly.
