you should of used virtual box from the get go, someone selling a patch for this game is ripping people off, no offense.
This game will work on windows 7 as 7 has been reconfig'ed to deal with older games, but there is still a custom installation executable for it for any other system. I've just upgraded to windows 10 so I need to test it on here yet, but if anyone needs the modernised installation file (you will still need your game discs) I will gladly send it to you, just send me a PM
EDIT (TIP) FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN HEAR IT, BUT CANT SEE IT...
IF like me, you run it on windows 7 and get the sound of the menu and no visuals, there is a easy (if inconvenient) trick to get it to show up. click on the screen (you'll still see the cursor) around about where the (game) or (tour) sections are located on the main menu (Cursor will change to a hand so you'll know you're hovering a button) then skip through to the start. once you're in click where the life preserver would be and go into the menu (all blind, but easy enough to do) then click one of the menu buttons, usually I end up hitting the 'save' function. It will bring up a windows box, do you want to save? hit no.
and there you have it, visuals should be restored completely and you can enjoy the game.
(this has to be done everytime on start up, as far as I know, but its really easy to do and takes less than ten seconds)
