Hi everybody,

If I am to answer my own question, I would have said that it was this ship sighted by the Carpathia about 3.15am on 15/4/12. Even, if his time is wrong, I still do not understand what ship it could have been.
What say you?

I think it was the Californian's light slightly off the port bow of the Titanic. Who knows.

Has anyone ever thought that these " mystery ships " could have been ice burgs that were mistaken as ships by there shapes , { this did occur from life boats towards the next morning hoping for rescue ) or that lights seen from the Titanic could have been light reflected back off ice burgs from Titanic's own lights

It's possible. I've read that Captain Smith corrected one of his officers that was mistaking a star for a ships light but I forget which officer that was. It was a dark night so I think many mistaken sightings were made.
