What else was on Titanic

I love the 1997 Titanic movie. I noticed something in it that I'm curious about. When the ship left Southampton, there was a smaller ship attached to the side of Titanic. Was that really there? What purpose did it serve. Was it for mail or something?

That was a tug. They help large ships maneuver while in port. In fact, when the Titanic sailed, a tug named Vulcan stopped a collision between the Titanic and another liner, the New York.

Hope this helps.

Haha. I remember that part in the movie. So funny..."Are your aware of Dr. Freud, Mr. Ismay? His ideas about the male preoccupation with size might be of particular interest to you." Thanks for the help. I'm just curious about...well...everything.

Jesus suffering Christ!

I knew the "movie" was bad but I didn't know it was THAT bad.

What the hell am I doing in this thread? I'm off....
