Bazar, that someone would jump off that high, when one could've walk off ship right into the sea. Literally.

In the James Cameron film.. at the end after Leo sinks... Kate croaking "Come back,Come back" .
This has entered in the vocabulary of our household.. Sometimes when someones wants someone, 'Come back' will be uttered :) .

When Jack and Rose meet just before the dinner scene at the Grand Staircase, in the background, this exchange occurs:

(Paraphrasing)
Cal Hockley: You know, there are over 7000 tons of Hockley steel in this ship
Ruth: Oh, which part?
Cal: The right part, of course.

Thereby implying that through cutting corners in business, Caladan Hockley was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic and the famous weak steel. I'm surprised I've never seen a reference to this line on this forums.

Some of the exchanges between Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck in the 1953 film are pretty amusing, considering what they might have been if the same film had been done in 2014.

Cheers,
Adam.

Actually, I don't recall that quote. I've watched that film many times (for the ship, the script is friggin' awful). My god I'm oblivious.

My favourite funny scene is the poor steward trying to do his job. He tells Jack and Rose that they've damaged the ship and they'll be held responsible unaware of the situation.

I don't know, it's just funny. I don't laugh at people jumping off the World Trade Centers, but for some reason I laugh at a guy hitting a manganese bronze propeller.
