Page 92 of Public Record Office document BT100/259 asks that Lists C&D be amended and refers to:
Mullin (544), Chisholm (22) and Thorn (103). It says letters 14405, 14434 and 13726 are attached.

Nowhere in the pages I have can I locate any such letters.

Page 94 contains information to the effect that the name of Robert Chisholm should be changed to Roderick Chisholm and the name of Mr G Thorne to G Rosenshine.

I understand that Lists C&D refers to BT 100/260. On 100/260; No 22 is Robert amended to Roderick Chisholm; 103 is G Thorne amended to Rosenshine; while 544 seems to have been changed from Khalic Betros to Betros Khalic a 25 yr old Syrian Farm Labourer.

Thus the name Mullin remains a mystery.
Can anyone tell me whose name is being corrected?
Also can anyone provide me with copies of letters: 14405, 14434 and 13726?

In part I have now answered my own question. On PRO document MT 9/920/201 I note that Crew member 544 is Muller - [I read it as Muller not Mullen].

I have now found near the beginning of BT 100/259 that there are Crew Lists with wages due. Most of the pages I have have been copied without the numbers on the far right.
On one page Muller has been amended to Mullin. - Out on the far right is the number 544.
Almost at the end of 100/259 is an Alphabetical List of Lost Crew. There is a Reference No which I do not understand followed by a column headed: No on C&D - No 544 is Mullin T. steward.

Frankly I had never considered that it might be a Crew member whose name was being amended as all of the other name corrections in the section where the correction was posted were passengers.

Hermann's Crew List has Thomas A Mullen.
Looking at this web-site I see the name is given both as Mullen and Mullin within both his Personal Summary and his Biography. So in part the mystery is answered. It is now a case of what was his correct surname?

Can anyone advise?

Belatedly I have realized that 100/259 also contains another Crew List. The all important Signing-on-Sheets.

Looking at this web-site I see the name has been uploaded as Mullin and looking at the signature itself [a copy is pasted below] as it appears in 100/259 [page 124/218] it looks like Mullin, so that is the name I am presently accepting: Thomas A. Mullin, 3rd Class Steward.

I am aware that The Titanic Relief Fund - Crew "Class F" Dependants - Case No 511 - paid out to Thomas' siblings under the name of Mullen.
