Published in Lloyd's List, April 26th (letter was dated April 24th):
"I have before me a photographic picture of some of the Titanic's lifeboats hanging in the davits. This picture shows a boat's falls with 2 kinks close to the leading block"
etc etc. signed "Naval Officer"
- the rest of the letter talked about the quality of seamen and their pay if they couldn't do such mundane tasks correctly. Which picture is the officer talking about? I did think it might have been pictures taken of the aft boatdeck at Queenstown, but I'm not too sure now...
