While many people say the stern flipped to port, I think the Stern, after breaking from the bow, did go 90 degrees. Why? Because most of the survivors reported so. To Lucy Duff Gordon, Titanic looked like "A giant finger pointing at the sky" Jack Thayer noted the propellers were standing up right above him. As Paul Lee's Website excellently out it:
"This is due to perspective we are told, but nearly all the people in the said it went vertical. Darkness, emotions or phantasmagoria can't be used to dismiss all those eyewitneses. They viewed the spectacle from a variety of distances and vantage points"
Or as Ken Marschall put it: "They can't all be having this hallucination"
feel free to prove me wrong!
Have a nice day!
