Interesting history and reading. Not sure if a relative of WT Stead and just starting Stead family tree research in England prior to Steads coming to Canada.

Hello. You say: "Stead was born in Manse, Embleton, Northumbria" which has two problems. The manse is a building (the minister's house), not a placename, and the county he was born in was Northumberland, not Northumbria the historic kingdom. The extract should read something more like: "Stead was born in the Manse in Embleton, Northumberland". Hope this helps!
