Zeitel's Bomb

Hello everyone!

I just have a question about Zeitel's bomb. I'm not sure if it's just a glitch in my game, but if it is, it's a glitch that saved me a lot of trouble! Haha. Well, what I did is I went to Zeitel's cabin and he locked me in etc. etc. After he left I walked towards the door and turned to his bed and clicked on the notebook. It came into my screen and I could put it in my bag! Not only that, but I went to the bomb, and I simply opened up the key box, and the bomb exploded, but I clicked "give up" and it went back to me being in Zeitel's cabin, with his key! I was able to walk out of his room with the key and the notebook without having to disarm the bomb. Does anybody else have a game that does this?

Hi Tim,

You do have the option of giving up on defusing the bomb and you will get the key anyway if you do. I prefer whenever I play the game (which is every couple of years now, I first got the CDs in 1998) to try and defuse the bomb even if you get blown up quite a few times before being successful.

It may be worth mentioning that there's two scenarios for being in Zeitel's cabin: one with the notebook and the other without. It depends on whether you gave him the notebook or the poison pen at the top of the funnel. If you gave him the poison pen, the notebook will not be in his cabin and there's not point in going there when the Titanic is sinking. It will only take up time needed to complete the other missions.
