The alleged "fixers" of the Syrian quarter of Highland Park failed to rescue Fatima Ajamy, oriental beauty of the Syrian colony, from the hands of the law, in Justice Benedlow's court, Wednesday evening. Fatima was charged with assault on a Mrs William Harb.

[Illegible] alleged that Fatima had attacked her with a hatpin in front of her home, 116 Victor avenue.

When a stenographer in the employ of the justice "tipped" him that the alleged "fixers" were in an ante-room trying to "fix things up" with the complaining witnesses, the judge halted the case and Fatima paid a fine of $15.

[Currently, it is not established that the Fatima Ajamy mentioned in the article is the Titanic survivor of the same name]

I do not believe this is the Syrian Titanic survivor since she was not living in Highland Park/Detroit in 1916. Unless the article says otherwise, I am assuming this took place in Detroit?
