Dr. Henry W. Frauenthal, our medical director and surgeon in chief and founder of the Hospital for Join Diseases, has been called to his last resting place and,
WHEREAS, in his death, this institution, its medical staff and its personnel have sustained a loss, the nature of which cannot be formulated in words; and,
WHEREAS, his passing will leave a void in the hearts and minds of all those affiliated with the hospital and the thousands of suffering humanity to whom he brought relief;

THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the medical staff and the Clinical Society of the Hospital for Joint Diseases that we record our great grief at his untimely death, and pledge our undying loyalty and devotion to the perpetuation of the noble principles which he preached and practiced and to which he gave so much of himself for many years; and be it furthermore

RESOLVED, That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of our transactions; that we attend the last rites of our beloved chief and founder, and accompany his remains to their final rest, and that an engrossed copy of these resolutions be forwarded to his family with the assurance of our sincere and deep sorrow and sympathy.


FRAUENTHAL

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our heroic and beloved leader, Dr. Henry W. Frauenthal, the Medical Director and Surgeon-in-Chief of the Hospital for Joint Diseases. This institution, which he conceived and founded, represents the fruition of his great life work and will stand as a memorial to commemorate and immortalize his services to his fellow-man.
The members of the Board of Directors, in special meeting assembled express their profound grief at his passing away and their appreciation of his sterling qualities, his kindness, his broad sympathy and his great talents and achievements, which he gave so freely and unstintingly to suffering humanity.
In his going we have suffered an irreparable loss, and it is the sense of this board that we can best honor his memory by perpetuating the ideals and traditions which he established for the conduct and maintenance of this great hospital, child of his creation.


The Rotary Club of New York announces with deep regret the death of its member, Henry W. Frauenthal.
Rotarians are requested to attend funeral services, Elk's Club, 108 West End Street, Sunday, March 13, at 3 P.M. Pirie MacDonald, President.


The Ladies Auxiliary of the Hospital for Joint Diseases, 1930 Madison Avenue, extend to the family of the late Dr. Henry W. Frauenthal their most profound sympathy. Mrs. Herman C. Frauenthal, President.


Platt Lodge No. 194, F. and A.M. Brethren: You are hereby requested to attend Masonic funeral services for our late brother, Dr. Henry W. Frauenthal, on Sunday, March 13, at 3 P.M. sharp, at the Elks Club, 308 West End Avenue.
