Grave fears are felt among the students at the University of California for the saftey of Walter Miller Clark, a recent graduate of that institution, who was aboard the ill-fated liner Titanic. Clark, with his wife, were returning from a trip to Europe. Mrs. Clark is reported safe aboard the Carpathia, but no mention is made of her husband. Clark was a graduate of the university with the '07 class and has a host of friends here and in Los Angeles, where his home was. His father is J. Ross Clark, president of the Salt Lake, San Pedro & Los Angeles railway. He is a nephew of Senator Clark of Montana and a cousin of W. C. Clark of San Mateo. Clark was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity at the university and took a prominent part in student affairs....''
