INSURANCE DIRECTOR'S RETIREMENT

Mr. J. Bruce Ismay, who has for many years been a director of theLiverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company and also for some timepast a director of the Royal Insurance Company and of the Thamesand Mersey Marine Insurance Company, has expressed a desire to retirefrom each of the boards, owing to the days of the board meetings notfitting in with his other Liverpool engagements.

The officialannouncement is made that "Mr. Ismay's resignation has beenreceived with very great regret by his fellow directors, and inaccepting it they have expressed their great appreciation of theservices he has rendered during his association with them."
