Philipp Edmund Mock, 69, prominent Ormond Beach resident and retired New York banker and manufacturer, died early today in Halifax Dist. Hospital of a heart ailment.
An art instructor at The Casements in Ormond, he had lived for 16 years at 519 S. Atlantic, coming here from New York City. He had studied art in Europe and attended Suwanee University. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, the Ormond Golf and Country Club and the Alpine Mountain Club in Switzerland.
Surviving relatives are a sister, Baroness Von Faber du Faur of New Haven, Conn., a niece and a nephew. His wife was the former Miss Alvis Ehrman of Birmingham.
The funeral will be Tuesday at the Tourist Church with Rev. Gordon Poteat officiating. The hour has not been set. Haigh & Brooks is in charge.
