F. O. Spedden, Retired Banker Here, Stricken in Palm Beach

Frederic O. Spedden of Tuxedo Park, N.Y., retired New York banker, died yesterday of a heart attack while in the swimming pool of the Bath Club in Palm Beach, Florida, where he was spending the winter. He had not been active in business for twenty-five years.
A keen yachtsman, especially interested in small-boat racing, Mr. Spedden was a former member of the regatta committee of the New York Yacht Club. He also belonged to the Union, Knickerbocker and Tuxedo Clubs. Mr. Spedden, who was a brother of the late Mrs. J. Frederic Tams of Tuxedo Park, leaves a widow, the former Margaretta C. Stone. Frederic H. and Bertram de N. Cruger are nephews.
