Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Luhrs, 72, Route 2, Pequot Lakes, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A resident of the area for 45 years, Mrs. Luhrs was born in Switzerland on March 31, 1895. She was a member of the Casino Assemblies of God Tabernacle.
Surviving are her husband, Carl; two sons, Elmer Zimmerman of Rochester, Ind.; and W. J. Luhrs of Brainerd; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Ethel) Patrick of Tamarack, Mrs. DeVoy (Elva) Leonard of St. Louis Park and Mrs. Pearl Leemhuis of Fulton, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Ida Sagesser of Lotzwil, Switzerland; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Funeral services are planned for 1 P.M. Friday at the Pillager Assemblies of God Tabernacle, the Rev. Theodore R. Jensen officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral home from Thursday to 10 A.M. Friday and at the church prior to the service.
