Not only were three brother named Hickman, of Fritham, in the New Foest, all lost in the foundering of the Titanic, but there was still as further sad circumstance connected with the case. The Hickmans were accompanied by four school friends of theirs, Percy Dean and three brothers Dibden - Charles Davies, Ambrose Hood, and William - of the adjoining parish of Bramshaw. All were going to Canada, and everyone is among the missing.
