James Webber, wealthy Englishman, who made his home at the Southern Hotel this city, for many years, lost his life in the sinking of the 'Titanic.'
This information was received here today from Mrs. Mark Beeble of Cornwall, Eng., his eldest sister.
The deceased left there eighteen months ago on a trip around the world.
He went by way of the Orient, and leisurely journeyed through China, Japan, spending some months in Korea, and had just completed a delightful stay with his two sisters in Cornwall, and was on his way home, when death overtook him.
He left large property interests in this [San Bernardino] and Los Angeles counties.''
