Michael Joseph Guilfoyle, died on Oct. 2, at his residence in Swan Lake following a long illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1894, at County Clare, Ireland.
He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Michael Guilfoyle. He was married in Corpus Christi R C Church, New York City, to Catherine Murphy, had lived in Swan Lake for 32 years. He was a retired U. S. Custom Agent.

He was a member of St. Peter’s R C Church, Liberty and the U. S. Customs Benevolent Association.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine, one son, Michael Jr., of New York and two daughters, Mrs John (Marie) Garry of Brooklyn and Mrs. Floyd (Rita) Townsend of Swan Lake, two sisters , Mrs Delia McCarthy of Brooklyn and Mrs Anne Hogan of County Clare, Ireland, five grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

A Rosary service was held at the Laidlaw Funeral on Wednesday evening. A Requiem Mass was held at St Peter’s Church today (Thursday), with the Rev. John J. Brinn as celebrant. Burial was in St Peter’s in Liberty.
