As Usual, Financier Refuses to Discuss Any Subject

J. Pierpont Morgan returned from Europe yesterday on the White Star liner Olympic, He was met at Quarantine by his son. J. P. Morgan. Jr., who went down to Quarantine on his father's yacht, the Corsair, and boarded the Olympic. At the pier Mr. Morgan was met by Charles Steele, H. P. Davison, and others of his firm.

Mr. Morgan followed his usual custom in regard to homecoming interviews. He had nothing to say on any subject. Various attempts to get him to speak on politics, foreign affairs and financial matters were all unsuccessful. Mr. Morgan boarded the Corsair when the baggage had been transferred to the Corsair and the yacht went on up the river to Mr. Morgan's summer home at Highland.

Charles Klein, playwright, was also on the Olympic. He said that at last he had made a success in London with "The Third Degree." Blanche Ring arrived to spend the rest of her vacation in the mountains before resuming her part in "The Wall Street Girl."

Orvllle Harold of Mr. Hammerstein's London opera company was a passenger on the Olympic. He said that so far as he knew the reports of Felice Lyne throwing an opera score at Mr. Hammerstein were true, but added that such incidents were the least of Mr. Hammerstein's troubles.

Others on the Olympic included the Countess de Brie, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Romland, the Countess de Sibour, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh B. Sutherland, Mr. and Mrs. Edouard Charpentier and the Countess de l'Espigarie de Tessau.
