Daughter of Mrs. Kiliaen Van Rensselaer to Be Bride of Clarence Moore

Announcement was made at a dinner party given on Thursday evening by Mrs. Helene van Nostrand at her home, 45 East Eighty-first Street, of the engagement of Miss Lorraine Graves, daughter of Mrs. Kiliaen Van Rensselaer of 417 Park Avenue and Huntington, L. I., to Clarence Moore, son of the late Mrs. Mabelle Swift Wichfeld and the late Clarence Moore of Washington.

Miss Graves is the daughter of the late Robert Graves, a sister of Richard Graves and a half-sister of Kingsley Swan. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvah Miller of Brooklyn and Ossining, N. Y. Miss Graves was introduced to society last season.

Mr. Moore, a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Carlton Swift of Chicago, attended Eton College and Harvard University. His father, a well-known sportsman and a member of a family long prominent in Washington, D. C., lost his life with the sinking of the Titanic. This will be the second marriage for Miss Graves's fiancé. He was previously married to the former Miss Joan Ashton Lindsley of Hewlett, L. I., and Boston.
