George William Mackie, whose birth was registered in the New Forest in the 1st quarter of 1909.
In 1912, George and his family were living at 31 Winchester Road, Southampton . Mary continued to live there until she died in October 1956.

Minutes of a meeting of the Committee held at 6, Portland Street, Southampton on Friday 8th February 1918 at 2-30 o’clock, p.m.
Letter from the public trustee dated 7th December 1917 was again read, suggesting that many boy and girl dependants may now be employed at earnings sufficient for their support and in such cases the Committee might consider it unnecessary to continue the allowances. A schedule of such cases was submitted, and it was resolved to suspend the allowances as undermentioned, as from 31st March next.
