W. A. Spencer Gives $1,000 to Library

A large number of public institutions received bequests by wills filed for probate yesterday in the Surrogates' Court. [Description of the will of Joseph Hirsch omitted.]

William Augustus Spencer, who went down with the Titanic on April 15, left to the Trustees of the New York Public Library $1,000 and an interest in one-half the residue, after other bequests of more than $50,000.
