SCRANTON, Pa., Jan. 16---Miss Marion Margery Scranton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Worthington Scranton, the latter a member of the Republican National Committee from Pennsylvania, became the bride this evening of Edward Mayer of New York. The ceremony was performed in the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. W. W. Scranton. The Rev. Peter K. Emmons, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiated in the presence of many guests. Miss Scranton was given in marriage by her father, who is president of the Scranton Chamber of Commerce. She was atended [sic] by her sisters, Misses Katherine and Sally Scranton.
The bride is a granddaughter of the late W. W. Scranton. Mr. Mayer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Mayer of Des Moines, Iowa. His first wife was Benita Guggenheim, daughter of Benjamin Guggenheim, who was drowned in the Titanic disaster. Mr. Mayer served as an aviator in the World War.
