MAY BE PROVIDENCE MAN ON THE LIST OF TITANIC

The Evening News

John J. Lamb, one of the supposed passengers on the ill-fated Titanic, was born in Ireland, but came to this country with his parents when an infant and has resided in Providence ever since. He is 27 years old.

Last September Mr. Lamb accompanied his aunt, Mrs. Margaret Lamb, an old lady, to her home in County Wicklow, Ireland. On April 11, he notified his sister, Mrs. Catherine Lyons of 92 Nichols street, this city, and his two brothers, Patrick and Martin Lamb, of the same address, of his intention of sailing from Queenstown on the Titanic.

Neither of Mr. Lamb's relatives have heard from him since and it is not absolutely certain that he sailed on the Titanic. The report of the Titanic's passenger list showed the name of James Lamb to be a passenger, but whether this is the same man or not is not certain.
