Plans are being made for the holding of a memorial service in honor of Lucian P. Smith, of Morgantown, who lost his life in the wreck of the Titanic.

Mrs. Smith, who was Miss Mary Eloise Hughes, a daughter of Congressman J.A. Hughes, had planned to erect for the body of her husband a costly mausoleum, but when the bodies recovered from the wreck were brought in it was found the body of Smith was among the missing. The memorial service is to be held in Central Christian Church at Huntington, where two months ago she happily wedded. Mr. Smith met his death like a man, and stood bravely to the side while the women and children were placed in the few lifeboats which the Titanic possessed.
