Services to Be Held Friday; No Hope Now of Recovering Body of Mrs. Corbett

PROVO, May 31 [sic]--- Memorial services for Mrs. Irene Colvin Corbett, who
was one of the victims of the Titanic disaster, will be held in the stake
tabernacle here Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services will be in
charge of Bishop Burdell Davis of Pleasant View ward and the other speakers
will be Thaddcus Cluff, J. William Knight, E. S. Hinckley and President J.
S. Page of Nebo stake. The Pleasant View quartette is to render a number of
musical selections and will be assisted by the ward choir.
Mrs. Irene Colvin Corbett was the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Levi A.
Colvin, having been born here and resided in this county all her life. She
went to England last October to study obstetrics and was on her way home, a
passenger on the ill-fated ship Titanic. The family has now given up hope of
recovering the body.
