The White Star liner Titanic a sister ship of the Olympia [sic], was launched in the River Laffan [sic] here to-day. Enthusiastic crowds lined the river banks and cheered heartily as the big steamer took the water. J. Pierpoint Morgan and J. Bruce Ismay, chairman and managing director of the White Star Line, witnessed the launching.

The Titanic will enter the Southampton New York service late in the year. She is 45,000 tons register, 882 ½ feet long, and 92 feet broad.
